The HuffPost Live Review/Preview Thread For 10/9/12: Why does Huff Post Live Love Trolls and Hate Rational Coments?

It's really weird the things Huff Post Live are doing, especially when they edit out non-hate, harmless comments, because it doesn't fit with some weird agenda they seek.

Now there will be more examples of this later that I will post because I have collected many of the non-hate comments they have chosen to leave out, but here is one example right now.

An upcoming segment today with Hulk Hogan being interview by Marc Lamont Hill has posters make comments before the segment starts, just like every other segment.

Now I made a simple comment about missing the nostalgia of the late 80s and 90s that actually was somehow deleted the first time, allowed the second time, and then deleted again by either the producer of the segment Basel Hamadan, or the main moderator (as you see in the picture above).

Here's the comment being allowed and then taken out:

 All it said was this:
Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, the good days of the 80's, when the WWE was the WWF and before Vince McMahon did not lose his mind and stopped really caring about his non-star wrestlers.
That's it. Not criticizing anyone there, no hate.

And yet, because of some peculiar hate on me for no legitimate professional reason, they edit out that and many comments that are real safe, rational, and good comments while allowing conservative trolls to misinform, spin, and cause harm to an online news community.

I've been on four times, and I'm going to keep it real here ladies and gentlemen, I'm well respected in the community because I care about it. I also currently have the host definitely trying to have this weird "sluggahjells blockade" that frankly is so laughable and weak. But hey, it's their choice.

And when you see this, along with many other instances, it is quite said that troll comments are allowed, while simple, non-harmful stuff like this, gets deleted out.

Tim McDonald is the community manager at HPL, with this being Sekoff and Ariana's smart idea. McDonald is a very nice man who has definitely tried to have me ignore HPL's weird, irrational, negative moves moves and push it "under the rug." But I just will not do that because it simply is not acceptable what they are doing with their comments section, whether producers, moderators, or both.

They simply all have to recognize and fix this ridiculous problem they are giving themselves that could exacerbate into a serious trust problem for them.  Just because they hate a comment doesn't mean they should delete it unless it is, well, a pure hate or acerbic post full of cursing.

So weird, so bizarre, and so pathetic from HPL is this poor moderation of harmless comments. Why are they trying to ruin a potentially great brand so much when something makes them uncomfortable?
