The Read for 5/24/09: The Realest Thing You'll Read On Memorial Day
The classy and terrific Meteor Blades provides points and emotion so VALID in his essay about how we should remember more than American soldiers on this day, that the capital letters aren't big enough in themselves to describe how poignant it is. Especially the final paragraph:
Until the nation remembers all its dead warriors, you’ll pardon me if my Memorial Day reverence is tempered with rage.
