It Seems Lessons Just Aren't Learned (Update: Especially The Media's )

Photo from ReutersA trio of astute McClatchy reporters reported this on Saturday.
President Barack Obama is nearing a decision to send more than 30,000 additional U.S. troops to Afghanistan next year, but he may not announce it until after he consults with key allies and completes a trip to Asia later this month, administration and military officials have told McClatchy. And now, CBS news sources are reporting this as true:

Now there still needs to be more seen as to whether this is most definitely the finally decision.
But the signs aren't very encouraging at all.
AT ALL.
The decision is to be made after Thanksgiving.
The president is not expected to announce his decision until after he returns from China the week before ThanksgivingWill certainly be something if this report from David Martin is totally opposite from the actual final decision.
Update:Then again, I'm should always put "If this is true" and "If it's not" whenever you get sourcing from the corporate media:
The White House continues to knock down reports President Obama has made a decision on Gen. Stanley McChrystal’s request that 40,000 more troops be deployed in Afghanistan. No surprised it did.
“Reports that President Obama has made a decision about Afghanistan are absolutely false. He has not received final options for his consideration, he has not reviewed those options with his national security team, and he has not made any decisions about resources. Any reports to the contrary are completely untrue and come from uninformed sources,” said retired Marine Gen. Jim Jones, the White House national security adviser.
The leaks in question enraged White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, who had discussions today with Pentagon officials about the reports.
Because you knew those phone lines were certainly getting rung off the hook.
Blame CBS.
