The Sports Thread #1 For 4/8/14: Ba in Wolf's Clothing as Chelsea Dash PSG Hearts; Real Survive Real Dortmund Scare
Final Version
The quarterfinals' second legs can always produce dramatic moments, and that was the case once again on the evening, as Chelsea completed a dramatic comeback while Borussia Dortmund fell just shy of an even bigger, more historic one.
Real Madrid nation breathes a heavy sigh of relief while PSG fanatics have the pain of a late winner see their egress in the same round for a second straight season.
If the games were this tense and tight despite the deficits they both had, image how the pressure will be on tomorrow evening at the Calderon and the Allianz, as both legs are tied at 1-1. We as neutrals can only hope that the drama will be just as amazing.
Other neither of the four managers tomorrow will be able to match what Jose Mourinho did today.
That's Champions League coverage for the day. See you tomorrow. You can look at the pregame stuff and what I thought.
The Pre Game Setup Version
On a raining night at the Westfalenstadion, Dortmund will believe that they can pull off an all time comeback, a comeback that Madrid just fell short of last year.
Meanwhile comeback is also required for Chelsea, as PSG will be even more dangerous in my mind tonight with Ibrahimovic, as all three South Americans up front are fast and are perfect for the counterattack.
Hard for me to say how this unfolds, but I slight say Chelsea somehow get the result, while Madrid hold strong despite a great effort from Klopp's men.
I will return for halftime goals, other highlights, and more. Here are the lineups below:
Chelsea XI: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Luiz, Lampard; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Eto'o.
