Music Thread #1 For 5/26/10: The Quick News Runthrough

Since the charts sales haven't been placed up yet, a quick news thread is certainly warranted:
Wu-Tang and Rock the Bells......it's like an annual unified gathering for forever:
Legendary rap collective the Wu-Tang Clan will return as headliners of the touring Rock the Bells hip hop festival and perform its debut album, "Enter the 36 Chambers," in its entirety. The 4-date tour kicks off on Aug. 21 in Los Angeles and includes stops in New York City, Mountain View, Calif. and Columbia, Maryland.

Other rap luminaries set to perform classic albums from start to finish at Rock the Bells include Rakim doing "Paid in Full", KRS-One doing Boogie Down Production's "Criminal Minded" and Slick Rick revisiting "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick." Other artists on the bill are Street Sweeper Social Club (the collaboration between The Coup's Boots Riley and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello), Murs & 9th Wonder, Wiz Khalifa and Clipse, among others.

No the whole rumor about Lauryn Hill performing "This Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" there at Bells has certainly not been confirmed at all, but the event says they promise big surprises, so we shall see.

Most thank that Crystal will beat Lee tonight in the Simon Cowell Finale.

And Slip Knot held a press conference late last night to honor the life of their now departed bassist Paul Gray .
