Vanessa was a 17-year-old dancer in a rap video when Bryant first spotted her in 1999. Two years later, they were married in a ceremony that didn’t included Kobe’s parents, his two sisters, any his teammates or his longtime adviser and agent Arn Tellem.Oh those past days when Kobe was rapping (and Tyra Banks was singing):
L.A. TIMES headline at the time: “Laker’s Marriage Plans Are the Talk of His Fiancee’s High School.”
