Jurgen Melzer couldn't have picked better time and place to comeback from two sets to love down for the 1st time in his career.

The veteran Austrian has achieved that feat in his first Grand Slam quarterfinal, beating Novak Djokovic 6-4 in the final set to advance to the last four at a major for the first time in his career.

Despite it also being a case of Djokovic finally playing for not being able to close a match in routine fashion like he should, the match was also more indicative of the way the Austrian is starting to get control of all the talents contained in his game. That has been evident this entire clay court season with his career high ranking and first Last 8 at a major appearance. And with the win today, he will certainly enter the Top 20 for the 1st time in his career.

Still though, it will be one of the shocks of all time if he gets to the final, for Rafael Nadal awaits. Despite a warning for slow play and how dangerous Nicolas Almagro is, Nadal won for the 5th straight match in straight sets 7-6 (2), 7-6 (3), 6-4.
