TWD Sunday brings back "Sunday Soulful" with the tearjerking "Alright" from yet another forgotten R&B soul artist, Allen Anthony.
This Just Blaze produced song was an under the radar hit seven years ago, capturing a real life perspective sorely missed in the deteriorating quality of Rhythm & Blues nowadays. The instrumental was so good that Freeway had to place himself on the remix version, which doesn't lose its soulful nature despite the rapper talking about his firearms.
Now this Philly native is nowhere to be found in the game currently, as this song dropped when Jay-Z and Damon Dash were still cool, and Roc-A-Fella Recods still existed. Anyway, here is tonight's selection for Sunday Soulful, "Alright" from Allen Anthony.
