Another Family Values Causality

What a wonderful family values conservative to add to the growing list:
Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN), a champion of abstinence education and family values, will resign today after an affair with a female staffer in his district office, Fox News is reporting. The network reports:

Multiple senior House sources indicated that the extent of the affair would have landed Souder before the House Ethics Committee.
Elected as a family values conservative as part of the Republican revolution in 1994, Souder survived a tough re-election challenge in 2008 and survived a contested primary two weeks ago.

The eight-term Indiana congressman is, of course, a vocal proponent of traditional family values. He has been married since 1974 and has three grown children.

And making us laugh more at him is the fact that he can't stand condoms, gays, and anything that is suppose to fall in line of his fiscally (and according to David Waldman, friskilly)conservative mindset. Here is the happy video proof:

For the SOP, SOP strategists, and SOP loyalists, the "Family Values" label was "Drill Baby Drill" before "Drill Baby Drill", meaning that it has quietly been swept under the rug as "asinine catch phrases" we can no longer be able to utter in public.

By the way, the SOP has time to file a candidate for Souder's seat. I wonder if they will find the best candidate who has the ability to get the best mistress.
