The S-Thread For 11/19/12: The BS of The BSECS Continues

Alabama is not the 2nd best team in the nation, Georgia certainly is not the 3rd best team in the nation, and for sure Florida is not the 4th best team in the nation (and that's even if they get fortunate to win in Tallahassee on Saturday, even though they should lose soundly to a more talented and versatile Florida State team).

This just speaks to the larger and overinflated power of the Southeastern Conference and its continued cartel and ownership over the overall cartel that is college football in America.

It kind of was an unexpected (and pleasant) shock of reality that South Carolina, top 10 the last several weeks despite having two defeats, is now suddenly out of it. Is there some direct reason why the two loss Gamecocks were still good enough to be in the top 10 until it struggled against Wofford while Florida remains at #4 (ahead of now one loss sides Oregon and Kansas State) after just barely surviving Louisiana Lafayette and being awful against Jacksonville State back to back weeks at home?

It really says something when a computer is still used in the corrupt BCS system has Florida #2 in its rankings (yes, you read right), while Florida State is actually #17. South Carolina is #11 with two defeats in that same computer poll, but Clemson is #15 with one lost, before their Palmetto State showdown?

Is it because a Clemson win over South Carolina would not only strengthen Clemson but Florida State, since the Seminoles gave the orange Tigers their only defeat this year?

It's really beyond pathetic that Florida State and Clemson are behind two lost teams like LSU and Texas A & M still in the overall BCS rankings again (and where behind three when South Carolina was in the Top 10), just because of the mirage that is the strength of the SEC.

It could be one thing if the SEC elite had truly hard schedules and deserved to be at the top of those rankings. But even that is not the case.

Florida for another season has played no one of any strength in its non-conference games besides Florida State.

Alabama played an overrated Michigan team that never had the style or players to challenge the Tide seriously like Florida State could have if Nick Saban's program had the courage to face legitimate non-conference teams and not slow Big 10 programs (see their easy wins against Penn State the last few years to go along with their opening win drubbing of the Wolverines).

Georgia has played no one whatsoever in their non-conference schedule (unless you consider Buffalo and Florida Atlantic powerful).

As we scrabble to find who would play an undefeated Notre Dame team (so as long as they don't succumb to the pressure at USC on Saturday) in this cartel of a system, it sure would be something hilarious if Florida State, Clemson, Oregon and Kansas State all end up with one loss just like the champion of the SEC (provided Alabama and Georgia don't screw up their rivalry games Saturday).

And it will be so funny to see how the SEC PR team and propaganda monster that it is cheat the nation once more by thinking their conference is the only elite football that exists in the cartel that is high level NCAA football.
