The Sleep Time and Rise "n" Shine Thread For 12/4-5/08: Too Frank For His Own Good This Time

When I looked at TPM early this morning (or late last night), I saw that Josh Marshall, of all terrific and true journalists, give Barney Frank a pass on his reckless statement yesterday about Barack Obama needing to do more.
Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA): "[Obama's] going to have to be more assertive than he's been. At a time of great crisis with mortgage foreclosures and autos, he says we only have one president at a time. I'm afraid that overstates the number of presidents we have. He's got to remedy that situation."
Even if Frank is "right", he couldn't be more wrong in this situation.
Instead of pointing early fingers at Obama, Frank should have been rational and more frank by placing the blame on, you guessed it, our lame duck, turkey, goose, geese, and pigeon of a White House clown.
Where was Frank's comment yesterday of not asking why George W.Bush focused more on that Christmas tree lighting instead of making statements about the BS he knows Paulson and Bernanke are doing, and sits more ideally and silently than his nut case of a -VP- chief "Say all" adviser in Dick Cheney on the auto companies, the foreclosures, and all hell that is going down now?
Where was that statement from Frank? Huh?
Why isn't Frank not placing any criticism first, foremost, and final on how this Administration continues to not care about you and me instead of calling out a man who isn't even in the job yet?
He knows the answer of course. People on the Rational Online News Network (The Liberal Blogosphere) know of course. So why not restate it?
It makes no sense whatever, and it gives the perception to some idiots out there who now may believe that this is all Obama's problem, and his alone. Instead of saying "he's got to remedy the situation", Frank would look no where near the fool like he did yesterday by saying instead, "We have to remedy the situation."
"We." Not him, "we. "
And you know, despite their "fabricated happiness" with Obama so far, you know the SOP will try to use anything to weaken the man, especially using his own party's words or tone against him .
Yes, as two out of every three "diaries" or "threads" have stated over the course of the last month, we all know that it is well beyond rational to both support Obama and challenge him at the same time. But once again, because it can't be reiterate to the highest of heavens enough: Can it wait until he actually becomes the 44th President officially?
Instead of calling him out Barney Frank, call Bush out again, and again, and again until January 20th hits instead. Call his shameful self, his shameful party, and his shameful group of people out first, and continue to do so. Because he's the President now, acting like the buffoon he has always acted. And he's the one that's suppose to be "assertive" and make things happen", not Obama.
This isn't Obama's problem, and despite how he has royally screwed this situation up (for lack of a worse word or phrase), it isn't the Cheney Administration's either.
It is, along with Obama and The Shrub, our problem together. And for Frank to label it as one man's problem, or place the encumbrance on his shoulders, is incongruity at its highest.
Almost reaching the heights of the current Administration's level of stupidity, open neglect, and diabolical sneaky arrogance.
