The Chargers kept their slim hopes alive tonight after smashing the Raiders 34-7.

Overseas to soccer, and big news rocked England today. Roy Keane resigned as Sunderland manager, and rightfully so. Keane was a hypocrite in demanding that his player's play hard for him, when his heart wasn't even in the job anymore as the season progressed.

In Liverpool, a devastating blow to Rafael Benitez and his side, as Fernando Torres looks to be out for the rest of the year. That hamstring injury of his has gotten so bad, that we may not see the fantastic Spaniard until well into 2009.

Back over here in America, and I am still shocked over Sam Mitchell getting fired by the Raptors the other day. The man was just coach of the year a few seasons ago, goodness gracious.

And finally for the night, the fool that is Sean Avery had a three hour meeting today with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman after his stupid comments yesterday.
