The Blatant Ignoring Of The John Ensign Scandal
If you just received news from our sad cable media, you would just think that Charlie Rangel was the only ethic scandal in town going on (well, before the one on Maxine Waters was brought up over the weekend).
Yet just as big of a story (and even more juicy in the details) is the continued ongoing mess of Nevada Republican Senator John Ensign, which has had such a hard time finding attention again on the television screen after Rick Sanchez properly embarrassed the philandering fool at the exact end of last year.
After The Hill reported on the latest developments last Friday, both Chris Hayes and Steve Benen were the only ones to re-ask the salient question (that they of course knew the answer to) on "Why the spotlight on Rangel while Ensign's situation with new developments, still remained under their colleagues' peripheral?"
Benen and Hayes pertinent focus on Republican ethics problems that is invisible now to a media that just wants to follow their narrative may have prompted Paul Krugman to highlight it himself in Christine Amanpour's debut on "This Week".
Unsurprisingly enough, climate change denier and resident mendacious curmudgeon George Will immediately replied, "The reason why Ensign isn't getting that much attention is because Rangel is more important." (From 7:35 on to the end):
Where there is a Will, there is a lie it always seems.
Of course Will knew that Rangel had already stepped down as chairman from the Ways and Means Committee, but he didn't give a damn about lying again like he was always does.
No matter what that arrogant old fool thinks, Ensign is clearly a big story (as well as Mr. Diapers Vitter too) that is resurfacing nicely again as Fixed Propaganda gets on their happy faces talking about Rangel's stupidity all the time (and now potentially Waters).
It's the other ethnic story that the media, no matter how hard they want to keep their precious "Dems are in trouble" narrative, will be forced to give time too again just like Hayes and Benen did so well.
