The 2nd Thread For 12/3/12: Sports Anchor Doing Real Anchors Jobs Better Than Them

In the wake of the Kasandra Perkins tragedy, Bob Costas was vocal last night about American's constant gun problem, something that sadly regular news commentators won't do.

That made the nutcases and the myopic upset right away, and Fixed & Fools certainly had to make sure their stupidity was felt on this issue.
Now besides the obvious insanity from Fixed and Fools, it does give me delight that a sports anchor can be so direct and not display the caution the standard regular "hard news or political middle anchor/reporter" choses not to do.

There's just something about sports anchor/reporters being able to just get to the heart of an issue with more courage and conviction than a regular news or political anchor or reporter in America.

Costas has arguably covered less gun stories in his career than Chris Jansing or Wolt Blitzer, yet has the right temerity to say this.

Eric Boehlert said something correct earlier, "when it's left for SPORTS writers/anchors to talk about gun control, cus 'serious' press won't, we are truly doomed."

When blessed with not being idiots who just only care about sports themselves,  sports journalists have long held that ability to see the direct outcome of something, what truly just happen, what is clearly good and what is clearly bad, along with art critics.

It's a shame that neutral news and political reporters just can't be able to be liberated and keep it real as well.
