9/20/08- TWD's Agenda For the Day- The Laughingstock of America

(Palin video and speech via a courageous effort from Mash at the Kos)

From Barack Obama to Tiny Fey, the John McCain-Sarah Palin Republican ticket is without a shadow of a doubt, "The Laughingstock of America." You have to certainly be off the charts stupid, naive, and absolutely nasty simultaneously to eclipse the levels of the Cheney Administration with the Dubbya figurehead. But that has certainly been the case with these two individuals and the cast of nutty characters around them.

Take for example yesterday, the governor of Alaska continues to set her state back (like almost all of their Republican government officials do) and possibly place it into a world of sterotypes that will be hard for citizens of that state, especially the sane ones, to shake off for a long time. The speech was so bad, it made Bush seem like a magna cum laude graduate at his time at Yale. And as Mash put it so succinctly in his thread/diary:
The speech sounded like a 5th grader in front of a class delivering a book report on a book he hadn't read.

What you just saw and heard right there ladies and gentlemen was a speech filled with run-ons, inconhesion, lies, and supreme cluelessness. And have you ever herad of any candidate say the words "Holy Moly?"

Remember, she is "One heartbeat away."

They are literally the laughingstocks of America. So much so that Obama has basically challenged both Colbert, Stewart, and Fey for best "comedian" this week.

The Democratic nominee for the Presidency in Daytona Beach today:

And he did the same later in Jacksonville.

It was even better in Elko, Nevada. Fey would have loved this key line:
"You all remember Phil Gramm," Obama said, once again bringing up the former Texas senator and McCain friend whom McCain distanced himself from several months ago. "He says we’re just going through a mental recession and called the United States of America a nation of whiners. I’m not making this up. You can’t make this up. It’s like a 'Saturday Night Live' routine."

Here's the video proof:

And this one about McCain's silly "Old Boys Club, we'll take them on" line:

Steve C gets in on the fun of course:

And, of course, if you still haven't seen it, here's the beautiful Ms. Fey (though she is a "Mrs." technically, so don't get it twisted. Plus Amy Poehler did her thing as Hillary yet again.)

John McCain and Sarah Palin: If there's one thing positive they can give to America, it is certainly uncontrollable humor.

Late Agenda because of the family stuff as mentioned way earlier in the day. It will be a short schedule, with an emphasis on the NFL, college football, and music news to go along with that classic political updates and analysis.

Thank you for all the views, and thanks for the love as our family celebrates and cherishes the life of my grandmother Herelene Adams. God bless and have a great rest of the day.
