Hurricane Ike is Coming- Where is the President and Vice President?
Another massive Hurricane (Ike) is coming to Texas tomorrow morning (and it has already damaged Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and anythign else in it's path), but unlike Hurricane Gustav, no attention has been give towards this one in regards the mind that is George W. Bush. Our supposed leader of the country not coming out and commanding those still willing to stand in Houston or any other small towns in Texas to "Get out or likely parish" instead of listening to state officials and their governor. And Dick Cheney, who was away when Gustav hit in Georgia of all places and had NO recorded statements about it from what I can remember, let's not even go there.
So they come to talk about it when their convention comes and it is the first major one since the disaster of a job they did three years ago, yet they are more quiet than mimes when these this hurricane comes, along with Hannah last week (even if it was downgraded to a tropical strom on the East Coast)? Even more depressing is that Bush was the GOVERNOR of this state before he became arguably the worst president in ths history of this country. Consistency is key I guess? Especially when that is necessary in an administration far away from it like this one.
