Music Thread #1 for 11/9/08: Senator Obama, Please Tell Beyonce No

Utterly laughable (and real, presumptuous).
Beyonce has offered her support to President-elect Barack Obama, saying that she will perform at his inauguration in January if he wants.

"I'm there. I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want - if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready," she said, according to the Associated Press.

"I've never been so patriotic!" she laughed, wearing a blue suit and tie in honor of Obama, along with red, white and blue stiletto heels. "I'm just beyond excited."

This is just another example of putting yourself over country from the now suddenly "patriotic" Beyonce.

Once again, I hope my girl Tiffany and all Beyonce fans won't take this harsh, but this has got to be said: I really hope Obama says "No" to her performing, or even replying to her about this. Oh yes, she can come to the inauguration and watch it, just like every other American can. But please Beyonce', this isn't a concert, this isn't the Democratic National Convention.

It's the damn inauguration of a President of the United States.

And wouldn't the stigma be the whole "He's truly being the first black President by having a concert with Beyonce'" coming into full swing again from racial stereotypical dummies if this happens?

But that is Ms.Knowles/Mrs.Carter for you. She, unlike Will.I.Am and Wyclef Jean, didn't make herself available at all for Obama. Hell, she wasn't even a part of his campaign videos on Youtube like Jay-Z.

Instead, she was doing what Beyonce' does best: Putting Beyonce' first.

And on a side note, if there were one singer who deserves to sing at the inauguration, that only one is Jennifer Hudson.

Now that would truly be powerful.

Update:
And she is so inspired from Tuesday is Ms.Knowles/Mrs.Carter, that she now wants to be the first black Wonder Woman.
The pop diva, who starred in Dreamgirls and Austin Powers: Gold Member, claims to have met executives from DC Comics and Warner Bros who own the rights to the super heroine tale.

Inspired by president-elect Barack Obama, the 27-year-old revealed she wants to be the first black Wonder Woman.

Heck, she'll probably inspired Jay-Z to run for President literally so she can be first lady as well. She is so INSPIRED.
