3. And Canada is about to set a record on health care spending.

From Al Jazeera:
1. While talk in America escalates about this country being in a recession, that seems to be the case in Deutschland.
Germany, estimated to be the world's largest exporter, has officially fallen into recession, while markets across Europe have fallen on opening.

In a sign of the deepening global economic crisis, figures released on Thursday showed Germany's economy contracted 0.5 per cent in the third quarter.

And they will not be the only ones to be in that unwanted boat.

2. An Iran diplomat has been kidnapped in Pakistan.
3. And China's factory output has slipped to its lowest points in seven years.
