Music Thread #2 for 11/9/08: Major Sigh to Jadakiss

When asked who he would vote for by the cameraman, Jadakiss enthusiastically responded, "Barack Obama!"
Only seconds after his Obama endorsement, here is what Jadakiss revealed, "Nah, I ain't gonna vote I don't think. But if I did, I'd probably vote for Barack."
"Cause I didn't register. Half the people that you gonna get up here that's getting on here saying they gonna vote for Barack--they ain't registered," Jadakiss explained. "I'm just keepin' it a hundred with you. If I happen to register I'mma vote for Barack, but right now I'm officially not registered."

It gets more "ugggggggggghhhhhh" worthy.

This recent revelation comes shortly after Jadakiss revealed on his web series that this election would be his first time voting.

It is sad to see the same man who made a song like this, and can turn into an underrated philosopher with that very same song, still be mired in such ignorance after being in the game for over 10 years now.

Talk about regression from Jadakiss. Just when you think some artists are on the right track for good, they end up back on the wrong road.

Sigh.

However, as I just remembered, Jadakiss has had his runs in with the feds for years, and with how those things work, you can never be too sure if he was denied voting because of that, or didn't feel he was going to be able to vote with his past record on him.

Still though, he would have not even addressed that this would be his first election ever voting if he didn't write on his website that he would indeed so vote. I'm not trying to give him an excuse, but that is the only, ONLY, reason I can even exonerate him for embarrassing himself like this.
