Music Thread #1 For 7/1/10: In BET's Minds, Guru, Marvin Isley, And Naomi Sims Are Technical Glitches

In the head clown of B.E.T's mind, the slight at Guru at their clown awards show (and now other prominent figures that have departed) was just a "technical glitch".
AllHipHop.com: There's quite a bit of buzz going on in particular with the Hip-Hop Community with regards to Guru. He didn't get a shoutout at the BET Awards over the weekend.

Stephen Hill: In a show that had every few technical glitches, it was nothing more than a technical glitch. It was the same reason you didn't see anything about Naomi Sims (the first African American supermodel) a Black model who passed, and Marvin Isley of the Isley Brothers. So, Guru, Naomi Sims and Marvin Isley were all tied to this one [ video ] package that didn't fire off the way it was supposed to. What was supposed to happen is you see this package and Naomi and Guru and and Marvin end up on Gary Coleman. For some reason, we couldn't get it to fire and it kept Gary Coleman up there a freeze [frame]. That's why we kept Gary up there as a freeze.
No what makes Hill's explanation so dumb is the fact that, shouldn't there have been someone on the show to indicate later on that there was such a "technical glitch."

It's not a hard concept to do if you really wanted to acknowledge not only Guru both also Naomi Sims and Marvin Isley (and the fact that they forgot to acknowledge those two individuals as well is also really embarrassing) by simply mentioning a problem in the memorial montage and highlighting their names for the crowd to acknowledge. Doing something like that would have been fine and understandable to the rational.

But it really shows how dysfunctional that network is when they fail to even have an easy backup plan such as that.

Bun B says something weird about him being "Drake" in the past.

Some really irrelevant stuff on Kings of Leon, some other group, and Lil Wayne jail stuff.

Enjoy if you care The new materialistic Rick Ross and Kanye West "Live Fast, Die Young" song.

And remember the group Maroon 5? Well, they are coming back soon .

Your music thread.
