The House News For 9/29/10: 9/11 Responders Health Compensation Bill Finally Passes

Still, some 160 nutcases (157 Republicans to go along with 3 Democrats) really hate people on 9-11 it appears by voting against this non-controversial bill.

Despite Anthony Weiner not having to yell at the insane party today, the bill moves to that other house, where the Lords reside to take their sweet old time while the nation is in need of expediency.

Update: And here are the 3 Democrats that joined those 157 9/11 loving Republicans in voting against 9/11 heroes.

Marion Barry of AK-1st , Bobby Bright of AL-2, and Jimmy Cooper of TN-5th are certainly proud of their votes today. Maybe you should give them a call if you want them to know how you feel about them voting against 9/11 heroes needed health benefits.

The Cinema For 8/20/10: Only The Nanny Serves The Good Stuff This Week

It's Friday, that means it's "The Cinema" time: Without a doubt, the best movie this week is the enjoyable Emma Thompson improving on the first version of Nanny McPhee with "Nanny McPhee Returns!" It is another delight for the kids and adults from a class actress in a fun role. Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel hopes there is another return for this nanny : But this is a most welcome return, a sequel that rises from the “world of poo” of its setting and tickles and warms the heart. Let’s hope Nanny McPhee is “deployed” again, and soon. Another movie out this week is Piranha 3-D, which has been made as a scary fun spoof to Jaws. The one thing people may agree on with this one is, at least this shows the power of 3-D.
