Too Crazy For Even The Crazy Tolerant Associated Press (Updated: The Event of Insanity Is Off)
Yeah, it's still giving this nutcase attention, but it is sort of encouraging to see this :

Updated: Luckily for them and all of us that are sane, this nutcase has called off the burning.
May we all go back now to ruing the life of that evil Iman.
With a fringe Florida pastor’s plan for “Burn a Koran Day” coming under worldwide scrutiny, The Associated Press wire service said Thursday that it would not share any images of a Koran being burned.
In a telephone interview, Kathleen Carroll, the executive editor of The A.P., said “there are lots of other similarly offensive images that we choose not to run all the time.”
“Most people don’t know that because, of course, we don’t run them,” she said.
Mr. Kent’s memo noted that the Koran burning may not take place at all. Should it take place, “The A.P. will not distribute images or audio that specifically show Qurans being burned, and will not provide detailed text descriptions of the burning,” he wrote.
Yet....
“With the exception of these specific images and descriptions, we expect to cover the Gainesville event, in all media, placing the actions of this group of about 50 people in a clear and balanced context.”Maybe they are still a little too tolerant of the crazy. Oh, and too tolerant of producing a lot of dumb hack journalism as well.
