Too Proud To Say "Sorry"

A lot of people this week (particularly a good bit of black people) criticized the NAACP for even thinking one minute about the Tea Party."They are giving the Tea Party ammunition." "Don't they have more important things to focus on like education and gay rights." "WOW NAACP, way to come to what everyone was saying about the Tea Party last year." "What is the NAACP's purpose anymore."
You may have been cognizant of all the lambasting the organization received for speaking out about the Tea Party (not from the Palinities or the Tea Baggers), and they deserved it......
......If they called the Tea Party "out right racists."
Instead, what the NAACP simply did was cast a resolution, declaring that some of the element of the Tea Party for what they were.
They didn't call the party "racist". It wasn't an out of control "Look at us, look at us" thing that seems to be the kryptonite whenever prominent black figures or organizations of the Civil Rights Era speak publicly about lighting rod topics.
It was a simple resolution asking that someone, whether it is Michael Steele, Mark Williams, or anyone else just condemn any racial activity in their party.
It's just a simple move, where if Williams had any sense of mental ability he would easily take up. Though it wouldn't be the full end of any racist behavior in the Tea Party, Williams can simply claim that he did just that, and no one could blame him (or possibly any leader of these dumb people) anymore for not doing that simple needed thing.
Instead, Williams releases that moronic letter (so stupid that even he had to take it down for him showing everyone else how much of a further racist nutcase he is) that Olbermann has a field day on.
Yet, those in the black community where quick to pile on Ben Jealous and the rest of the organization, like Jealous is an undisclipine voice that doesn't know how to craft his words. Have they been watching Jealous in his tenure ahead of the NAACP?
If they haven't, then it's not a surprise they snickered, laughed, and slammed the NAACP for making a simple, quick, and very reasonable request that many others have made already.
Then again, just like Mark Williams, they are just a little too proud to just say "Sorry."
