Giving Them Stem Cell Hell

Today Joe Biden gave another blow to the GOP in Columbia, Missouri by mentioning a main area of Republican hypocrisy: stem cell research
Joe Biden today waded into the now-sensitive discussion of developmentally disabled kids, my colleague Victoria McGrane reports, and differed with Palin on the issue, though he didn't mention her by name:

I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy, because there's joy to it as well, the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect. Well guess what folks? If you care about it, why don't you support stem cell research?

This smart move, as highlighted by Kos community members jkennerl and
Geekesque made the McCain side so angry that they gave their typical "overreaction, exaggeration" response.
"Barack Obama’s running mate sunk to a new low today launching an offensive debate over who cares more about special needs children. Playing politics with this issue is disturbing and indicative of a desperate campaign."

Because of that infuriating response, do you think Obama's campaign got scared and let it go? Nope.
"Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that embryonic stem cell research represents real hope to millions of families dealing with debilitating conditions. John McCain has adopted and promises to implement a Republican platform that takes an even more extreme position in opposing stem cell research than that of George Bush four years ago. While the McCain campaign may not believe the American people deserve a debate on the issues, it's simply insulting for them to suggest that raising a substantive difference on this critical issue is playing politics," said Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan.

If you don't understand the pattern here, I'll simply explain it for you. Whenever Obama or Biden say the truth, and the absolute truth, McShame's and his fellow immature adolescent fools that run his campaign (the irony of that statement)basically cry "Foul play" and "WAAAAH" because of their lies and hypocrisy getting exposed.

By the way, Palin is heavily against stem cells (though she probably is .01% informed on them) while McCain is for it. And when I mean for it, Fox News could even confirm that is true.

It is sad when the media doesn't call their incongruous, stupid blowouts for what they are: Stupid blowouts. And if the media won't do it, then you sure knew today (and you should have known it in the past)that Obama and Biden will certainly DO IT.
