Sigh (and a MAJOR SMH)
Ridiculous, Absolutely Ridiculous (via hegemony57 at the Kos)
Now I'm not too big of a fan with Matthews (whose ego really gets in the way of telling the truth unlike Olbermann, whose ego doesn't get in the way of telling the truth), but this just shows you how the networks don't want you to have commentators giving you a full honest, rational, and informed perspective. Can you see Fox News scrapping their slanted coverage for a more "fair and balanced" BS like MSNBC cowarded into with their cautious and tedious move here?
But MSNBC wants ratings, like the other networks do, and they will do anything to help keep it close by allowing "Talking points fellow journalists in the news, even if it is a lie, like David Gregory instead of just telling it like it is.
And for those of you who may not know who the hell Gregory or any of these men are, just take my advice on this (if you will): Watch MSNBC at 8 and 9 at night. That's it.
MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.
That experiment appears to be over.
After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.
The change — which comes in the home stretch of the long election cycle — is a direct result of tensions associated with the channel’s perceived shift to the political left.
