10/14/08- TWD'S Agenda for the Day- ACORN also stands for "A Corrupt Organized Republican Nightmare"; Neo-CNN Continues Its Shoddy Journalism

Photo from Gawker on the Daily Stupidity that is "The Fudge Report
"Obama has ACORN rig the numbers for him."
"Obama is illegally registering people."
"Obama is cheating because this election was suppose to be so close that our ratings would be even bigger than 2000 and 2004 combine."
"Obama is doing this because Democrats aren't suppose to win big. They aren't!"
Those arguments and more are the reason why you see the incongruous and ridiculous attack on ACORN right now. From drational at the Kos, the key points are easily made and understood for those in need of clarity for this:
Never mind that this type of vote fraud has NEVER HAPPENED in any meaningful way in all US presidential election history. The McCain campaign needs the narrative to try to de-legitimize an Obama Victory and prep the nation for what will probably be a nightmare of dirty GOP tricks at the polls next month.
Drational is extremely rational here, and in general. The fact of the matter is this: the SOP is so desperate that their party is crumbling in front of their own eyes.
It is so devastating for them that they have to swallow the pride and do this.
There's nothing better than reading headlines like this:With party strategists fearing a bloodbath at the polls, GOP officials are shifting to triage mode, determining who can be saved and where to best spend their money.
I wonder what the SOP will try next? Say Obama is trying to play basketball if he gets into the White House?
And I wonder what Matt "SOP-Corporate Media News Driver" Fudge will put up next who Obama is registering. Simba? Maybe Genie?
No, no, it is got to be Ariel. It's got to be her, since Obama is admired by "white chicks" (shout up to my Miami girl with the ill fashion designer skills Abby D, since Ariel is her favorite Disney Princess last time I checked). So Fudgey, if you are reading, get that pic of "The Little Mermaid" rolling to an Orlando voting register spot, will you?
The Agenda's P.S. is in the comments section as always. Peace!
Update: From TPM, it looks like neo-CNN continues to shame its once great network.
But the Republican bamboozlement is crucially abetted by the fact that a lot of the reporting on this story -- much of it prompted by the GOP's strenuous effort to tout the issue -- utterly fails to make this key distinction, and often implies the opposite. And (leaving Fox aside, of course) CNN has been the worst offender.
NEO-CNN, the Corporate News Network.
