10/10/08- TWD's Agenda for the Day: The Biggest Day in Sarah Palin's Political Career (Until TPM Delivers an Update that Isn't Good)

(ABCNews Photo Illustration)

As we mentioned on Wednesday, our agenda for this October 10th day will be the update and potentially embarrassing report about Sarah Palin abusing her gubernatorial powers and lying that her and her husband were not involved in the firing of Trooper Walter Monegan.

Yesterday, the McCoward campaign released another bit of hilarity, when they did their won investigation of Palin and clear her of all crimes. Yes, you read that correctly, their own investigation of Palin, now. On October 10, when they didn't do it before? Hell, they can't even vet her properly right now.

HAHAHAHA, another laughing stock moment from "The Laughingstocks of America."

Now the narrative is sharping where Todd Palin is trying to exonerate his wife of all blame by taking all the blame for partially being involved in this (of all that grandstanding and lying). And they will use the narrative of Palin's ex-brother-in-law zapping her sister with a teaser to try and find sympathy for the reason she abused her powers (even though there are reports that this went down in 2001, and that she didn't really pursue his firing until 2007, when her sister's marriage ended).

Either way it is shaped, the nature of her and her spouse's clandestine email antics and tactics has been known, and it reeks of guilt all over themselves. The "Laughingstock of America", the McCain-Palin, is also the disgrace of it as well.

Friday!!!!
Yes, it's Friday. Movie previews, Sports Previews, and throwback music threads. It is all here, and in the agenda's pending schedule in the comments section.

Update: Well, the title also says it all: Thanks to Zachary Roth at the great TPM, the SOP is at it again with their nasty bullying:
So today's the day for Steve Branchflower to release his report into Trooper-Gate to the Alaska legislative council.

But it's worth pointing out that, thanks to GOP resistance, Branchflower's findings may not be made public today.

The legislative council will meet in private at 1pm EST to receive a briefing from Branchflower on his findings. The council will then vote on whether to make the 253-page report public. The legislators, who have already picked up copies of the report, have signed confidentiality agreements promising not to show anyone, including their staff, unless authorized to do so by a vote of the council.

They did it in 2000, they have done it since. And it doesn't surprise me that they are doing it again. And getting away with it.

Habeus Corpus and abiding by the law losses again in this country.

Monegan may get himself a "golden parachute" Sarah may have given him a cause of action for damages for wrongful termination. It is enough to make out a case for Monegan if the refusal to terminate the trooper was a "substantial" or "motivating factor" in her descision to terminate him. Methlin v. Bartholomew (Alaska 1998) 971 P.2d 151 at page 154. And there are lots of similar cases.
