10/1/08- TWD's Agenda For the Day- Conservative America is Starting to Show Its True Colors

This election just keeps getting uglier and uglier. And it shows how alarming, even 44 years after Lyndon B.Johnson made Civil Rights official, racism still runs deep in this country. But what makes this even worse is the fact that the pains of the past has not been fully embedded in most heads. Even more egregious is how "direct racism" has transfored Especially and regrettably for on the Conservative side:

In the aftermath of the financial crisis, conservative commentators have blamed the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), low-income people, minorities, and past Democratic administrations for the sub-prime mortgage meltdown:

- Laura Ingraham: “When Bill Clinton decided to tell Robert Rubin to re-write the rules the Community Reinvestment Act and push all of these institutions to lend to minority communities.”

- Neil Cavuto: “I don’t remember a blaring call that said, Frannie and Freddie are a disaster, loaning to minorities and risky folks is a disaster.”

- Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR): “It was their harsh regulation under the Community Reinvestment Act that started this ball rolling down the hill.”

Then we have this fool getting mad when journalists call him out for his sick lies. And he is 73 tears old and conducting himself like this?

And we can't forget the "Fudge Report" already trying to subliminally slam Gwen Ifill.
The Drudge Report and numerous conservative outlets are reporting that PBS anchor Gwen Ifill, who is moderating Thursday night’s vice-presidential debate, “is releasing a new book on Barack Obama, raising questions about her objectivity.” The book takes note of “Obama’s stunning presidential campaign” to introduce the emerging “young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power.”
The ugly is growing (though it was already there to begin with). And as an American, it is horrifying to see.
