Music Thread #2 for 10/10-11/08: The Flashback #2- Telvin Campbell featuring Quincy Jones ("Tomorrow")

Before Telvin Campbell was this sort of weird looking guy who really no on knows about now......

......He was this:

A 12 year old boy who had one of the best young voices of all time. To me, seriously, it was on some Michael Jackson type elite status of precociousness. He was that good, that young, and it is a total shame that his career really never amassed to anything legit.

No one outside of MJ had anything on this dude as a kid. Immature didn't. Sammie fell off harder than that apple that hit Sir Issac Newton in the head. Usher was a little into his adolescence to really be a "child" star. The same with the wreck that became of B2K. And Chris Brown was 16, which would make him an elder statesmen. (Plus, when you have a song written for you like "Run It", it is not really meant to hit on a deep, personal level.")

Only Telvin Campbell really brought that child innocence and vigor into a song, and that is certainly the case with one of my favorite throwbacks of all time. Thanks to the legend of Quincy Jones, "Tomorrow" (Better You, Better Me) from 1989 is something that will truly uplift your day. (Unless you are a conservative in America right now, but I didn't mean to make "The Flashback" segment political, did I?)

So, without further ado, here it is: "Tomorrow (Better You, Better Me)", on the weekend "Flashback." You will cherish this one folks:
